I’ve been in the Dental field since 1996 and have seen some amazing advancements over the years. I ended up in dentistry as a result of a temp job covering for someone on maternity leave and it turned out to be such a good fit that I stayed! I’m great with numbers so the crazy insurance field actually makes sense to me! I have a degree in biology along with an extensive background in nutrition and alternative health care practices. I love working in the health care field and having the opportunity to educate people and share any knowledge that will help them on their path to optimal health.

Believe it or not dentistry found me and I cannot imagine having a career doing anything else. I have been a dental assistant since 2003 and have worked for Marin Health and Smiles since 2005. I have taken the opportunity, when presented, to expand my skills, knowledge, and duties as a registered dental assistant. I additionally graduated from University of the Pacific where I learned how to place fillings, cement crowns, and take impressions for partial dentures. This was a huge accomplishment for me because I can now be more involved in taking care of patients and their long term health.

I have over 30 years of experience in dentistry and I’m passionate about helping my patients achieve optimal oral health. My greatest joy is creating a comfortable, safe, fun environment while providing the best care and clear communication. I completed my dental hygiene degree from Chabot College in Hayward, CA. I love all aspects of dentistry and strive for a holistic approach. This includes facilitating patient education regarding oral health and how it is related to our overall health. I will always give my patients all options available as regards their dental goals. In my spare time you can find me on a mountain or on a beach….hiking, biking or golfing with one or both of my sons. When it’s time to relax I’m either at the yoga studio finding my zen or out with friends creating it.
